They were targeted.
The devil wants to steal, kill and destroy everything that is or should be yours (John 10:10). But you were called to challenge him, use your authority and stand your ground. You have been summoned to guard what is his and recover what he has stolen.
But Christians often withdraw when they suffer a loss. They switch to flight mode instead of combat mode. They are so wrapped up in their circumstances that they are not prepared for battle. It is likeBilly Burkesays, "You can't defeat a demon 24/7 being a part-time Christian."
But God is a God of restoration. His will is that you take back all that was stolen from you and live in VICTORY.
What did the devil steal from you? Was it a relationship, your health, your finances, something physical? you want it back God is ready for you to run into the devil's lair and take back what is rightfully yours. It's time to get it back! Here we share how to get back what the devil stole.
1. Be encouraged in the Lord
"And David was very sorrowful...but David was encouraged in the Lord his God." -1 Samuel 30:6 (KJV)
It must have been one of the worst days of his life - and he's had a few lies in his time. But that…
David and his men were in battle when they returned to Ziklag, only to find that their enemies, the Amalekites, had conquered it.all🇧🇷 Their wives, children and everyone else in the camp were kidnapped. Oh, and to top it off - the Amalekites burned the whole place down.
David and his men "wept until they could cry no more" (verse 4). Then it got worse. David's men were so resentful of what had happened that they talked of stoning him! That's when David became very distressed. David found himself at a crossroads.
Have you ever been at a crossroads like this?
Something bad happened. Maybe not a bad Ziklag, but enough to cause big problems. Something you can't see a way out of.
Most of us were there. But this kind of crossing is important. That's because you choose the direction you want to go and ultimately your final destination. In place of crying, anguish and grief, will you stay and accept what seems to be your new reality? Or will you rise, fight and take back what the devil stole from you?
What we do know is this: David recovered EVERYTHING. Therefore, if we want to recover what the devil has stolen, we must follow his example. And the first thing he did was encourage himself in the Lord. It's not always the first thing that comes to mind, but it's the key to moving forward.
How do you encourage yourself?
The answer is twofold.
First with the Word of God. Pastor George Pearsons says, "You've got to stick with the WORD until you win." Immerse yourself in the Word and remember what He said about you, the dominion He gave you and the promises He made to you. It is impossible to have a good time in the Word and not be encouraged by the Lord.
Second, remember all the victories he gave you. It may take you a while to start remembering, but when it does, the times He healed you, delivered you, favored you and defended you will come one after another until you scream victory so loud you're ready to find it. devil and take back all that was stolen from you.
Kenneth Copeland believes this is what David did at that moment. He says: “I think he had Goliath in mind that day. I think he said, 'I'm going to win this one too.'
When things are bad - even impossible - don't give up. Be encouraged in the Lord. So get ready to go into battle.
“And he replied: “Pursue, for you will certainly overtake them and without a doubt win them back.” – 1 Samuel 30:8 (NKJV)
If you've ever had a great pep talk, you know how it feels when it's over. Are you ready to go out and make it happen! It kind of gives you a burst of energy and enthusiasm that can't be satisfied by anything but action.
So it was with David when he encouraged himself in the Lord. He went to the Lord and asked, "Shall I follow this band? Shall I catch up with them?" And God said, "Pursue..." (1 Samuel 30:7-8,NKJV).
For David, pursuing meant gathering his men, gathering information about his enemies, and then attacking them until they were defeated.
How is persecution in your situation? If the devil has stolen your health, sleep and peace, how can you start chasing him? You start by making the decision not to camp where you are and settle for stealing it. You will not tolerate this any longer. Instead, you take up arms and regain your health! Or your finances, your relationship, your opportunity, or whatever else he stole.
Your weapons are the word of God, the words of your mouth, and the knowledge of your authority over all the powers of darkness. It comes from a place where you feel power rising within you and then decide to work fully within that power.

Kenneth Copeland describes it this way: “When you get on God's side, you start taking a bite every day out of fear. And each day you start to regain the ground you lost. Every day you get to do something you've never done before. If you are bedridden because of illness and disease, start doing something. When all you can do is wiggle your left finger, figure out how to wiggle it harder today than it did yesterday. And you begin to take back the land and take back the kingdom, take back what is yours in the name of the Lord Jesus because you are the righteousness of God!”
And you do the same with money, relationships, or anything else that's been stolen. TRACK IT Make your way to retrieve it. It's yours!

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." -Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
It will be good here. Here you recover and take possession of what the devil has stolen from you. It's game over for the devil and he knows it.
When God told David to go forward, he followed with these words: "You will surely catch up with them and make sure you recapture them all.”(At 8,NKJV).Guaranteed success! This word also applies to you today.
But if you embark on the process of overtaking the enemy, remember: this will not happen right away and will require perseverance. "davidattacked from daybreak until the next evening" (1 Samuel 30:17,NKJV).This is a long fight! And he was probably tired. But that's part of the BLESSING - not ever having to fight, but having such a hold over your enemy that if he comes at you in any direction, he'll run away.
How do you overtake?
Faith, Patience and WORDS. Keep believing and keep talking and you'll get it all back. It may take time, but you'll get there. Correct the devil in the name of Jesus. Bind any spirit that comes against you to get everything back.
The best part? David not only recovered everything, but he also took away the spoils of the Amalekites. If you think about it, that's what happened to Job too. He got back everything the devil had stolen and more - twice as much, to be precise.
So when you go through and get back what the devil stole, don't just take what you lost. wait no more. After all, it's youmostas conqueror.
Now that you know how to get back what the devil stole, tell the devil you've set a judgment date and his time is up. Tell him you're taking back everything he stole. Jesus said if we catch the thief he has to pay back seven times as much. So start bankrupting the devil. Take back everything he stole from you and more. Glory to God!
