MyCare St. George's

MyCare St George's allows patients to manage their own appointments and view appointment letters online.

To provide you with this online access, we have developed MyCare St George's, which uses the mobile phone number we hold to send you an initial invitation to register.

After registering, you can log in to MyCare 24/7 on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. You can also sign in to MyCare using your NHS app credentials.

Before your appointment, you can provide important information that will help us better prepare for your appointment. In some cases, this information may even result in fewer hospital visits being required.

MyCare St. George offers:

  • the ability to view and monitor your test results
  • a record of your procedures and any known allergies
  • Links to useful health information

The portal is available to all patients over the age of 16.

MyCare St George's is designed to be easy to use and to help you take control of your health care. Here are some frequently asked questions about MyCare St George's.

MyCare St George's is a secure online system from St George's that allows you to view information from your hospital record, view hospital appointments, receive test results and receive messages from your hospital care team. It is available from your computer, tablet or smartphone.

MyCare St George's is currently available to patients of the St George's University Hospital's Foundation Trust aged 16 and over.

Registration for MyCare St. George's

You can enroll in MyCare St George's as soon as you have made your first appointment at St George's.

If we have an email address for you, you will receive an SMS with a link inviting you to register with MyCare St George's after you make your appointment. The link will take you to the MyCare St. George website home page where you can sign in and view your appointment.

You will also find the registration details in the appointment letter you will receive.

You need a working email address to sign up. When registering, you will be asked to provide your date of birth, email address, and mobile phone number.
As part of the referral process, you set up your own username and password.

We recommend that you do not use a shared cell phone number or email address when registering, as this could expose your sensitive health information to others.

Open MyCare SMS, select the invitation link (in the invitation SMS) and fill in your details. You will then receive an SMS message with a 5-digit code. If you do not receive a code, you can request another code by selecting the "I did not receive a code" button. Then provide your consent to access your care information at St. George's.

Yes. The SMS offers the possibility of not receiving more messages. You can also unsubscribe from receiving messages once you have logged into the portal.

It may take up to 7 days from the day your appointment is scheduled to receive your email asking you to complete your registration. Don't forget to check your junk or spam folder if it went there instead of your inbox.

Please note that if you access MyCare with your NHS credentials, identity verification services are managed by NHS Digital.

NHS Digital is the controller of any personal information you have provided to NHS Digital to obtain an NHS registration account and to verify your identity and will only use that personal information for this sole purpose.

If you have forgotten your email address, you can use your NHS number and date of birth to find your email address. Select Forgotten Email on the web page. Add your NHS number and date of birth. If the information is correct, the system will display your email address.

You can reset your email address via an authentication code sent to your chosen mobile phone number.
To do this, select "Reset your email address" and enter your code.

No, the email address on your medical record will not be updated. Only the registered email will be updated to access MyCare.

No, changes to your personal information will not be reflected in your hospital record. If your details have changed, please contact your GP and the hospital.

Your email address is stored in two places on the portal. First, as an email address to manage the account, and second, as an email address to receive notifications when new information is added. You should change it in these two places:
1. On the home page, click the settings icon and select Notifications. On the notification screen, enter your updated email address in the email address field and save.
2. On the home page, click the settings icon and select Account. On the Accounts screen, click the Update account settings link, then click the link in the email and follow the prompts to update your email address.

Uso de MyCare St. George's

The documents and test results were created by physicians and used to communicate with your GP and/or other healthcare professionals and therefore contain the necessary medical terminology. If you do not understand any content, we recommend that you discuss it at your next appointment.

There is also a useful website that provides information in plain English about what the different tests do and what the results show. This is available here:https://labtestsonline.org.uk/

For each appointment, the patient is presented with important information, including:

• Puerto
• Terminal status
• Specialty
• Date and time of the appointment

Information on whether there are unread letters of appointment

Once registered, you can login at any time and increasingly also cancel or move appointments. We will introduce more options in the coming months to give you better access to your information.

MyCare St George's can be accessed using Google Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer and Firefox web browsers. If you are having trouble viewing the portal, you may need an updated version of your web browser. A PDF reader is required to view some documents on the portal.

MyCare St George's can be viewed on a tablet or smartphone and is designed to fit whatever mobile device you are using. There is currently no app for MyCare St George's

If you think the error is related to something important, please contact their support team. Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) can help you solve this problem. You can contact PALS by calling 020 8725 2453 or by emailing pals@stgeorges.nhs.uk. If the error is not critical, fix it at your next hospital visit so your doctor can correct it when he sees it.

At this stage you can only view the information contained in the hospital record. Your GP record is in a different system and is therefore not currently included in MyCare St. George's. A single medical record is something we look at together with other organizations. However, this is still far from development.

MyCare St George's is your registry. Doctors cannot directly see what is included in MyCare St George's, but as doctors involved in your care at the hospital and in your GP practice, they can of course see the same information in your hospital record.
